I will only do films that I enjoy being part of—Sharman Joshi

Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi, known for his excellent comic timing in his films, recently in an interview revealed that after ‘3 Idiots’, he has decided to be more selective when it comes to selecting work as he only wants to do good work.

“I was constantly insecure; the nature of the profession is such. Now, I have come to terms with it. I will follow my heart to do films that I enjoy being a part of,” said the actor, who usually stays away from media unless he has to promote one of his releases.

Sharman, who has managed to carve a niche for himself, without a Godfather or filmy family background in this competitive industry, with his sheer hard-work, determination and talent, revealed that the reason why he stays away from media is because he loves his privacy too much, to let anyone invade it.

“I don't like talking to the media. I don't like them speculating and making unnecessary noise. I am a private person,” said Sharman.

Sharman in the league of Aamir and SRK?
Sharman has not just gathered praises for his brilliant performances in films like ‘Rang De Basanti', ‘Golmaal’ and ‘3 Idiots’, but his sheer talent has got recognized by the renowned filmmakers.

Recently, he was roped in for Vidhu Vinod Chopra's ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’ for which, apparently, Aamir and SRK were being considered.

When asked how he is feeling after bagging such a project, Sharman replied, “I am fortunate for being chosen for the film. Vidhu Vinod Chopra considered me in the same slot as these stars and I am thankful for that. But I don't know what worked in my favor.”

About Sharman
The comedian actor, who has fourteen films to his credit till date, seems to have come a long way since his debut in a serious film ‘Godmother’ in 1999.

Before getting noticed for his talent in small-budget comedy ‘Style’ in 2001, he also appeared in an issue-based film ‘Lajja'.

Not many know that before jumping into Bollywood business, Sharman used to be a theatre actor and have worked in numerous stage plays in Hindi, English, Gujarati and Marathi.
