In a recent update, an Aligarh-based lawyer Anoop Kaushik filled a case of vulgarity against Bollywood actor Salman Khan (host of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’), the producers and director of ‘Bigg Boss’ and some of its contestants.

The case was filed in the chief judicial magistrate's (CJM) court yesterday, a court in Aligarh district under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 293 (sale of obscene objects), 294 (obscene acts and songs), and 120 B (criminal conspiracy).

The constant swatting of ‘Bigg Boss’
Besides Salman Khan, the case has also been filed against MD of Colors channel, the director and producer of the show and five other participants, Sara Khan, her husband Ali Merchant, Dolly Bindra, Shweta Tiwari and Samir Soni.

This is not the first time when ‘Bigg Boss’ has been accused of vulgarity. Infact, there have been many scenes that raised eyebrows.

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has already issued a notice to ‘Bigg Boss’ for showing vulgarity, violence and indecency, which is unsuitable for prime time. The show has been branded with an Adult certificate and was asked to be pushed to 11 pm from 9 pm.

Reacting on I&B ministry’s decision Girija Vyas, the chairperson of National Council for Women said that every media group, production house and advertisement agency should maintain a self-regulatory mechanism to operate in a way so that there is no Indecent Representation of Women and Children in any way.

True to the tag line given by Salman, ‘Bigg Boss’ indeed provides fun inside and outside the show.

As the usual intimacies, fights and violence in the show were not enough, the makers of the show roped in Hollywood Hottie Pamela Anderson.

The 'Baywatch' damsel entered the house as guest for three days, and the reactions from the contestants was amazingly good.

She exuberantly made it her call to clean the house in a yellow sarong that was far too stunning. The internet sites such as YouTube, bb4.in.com, etc. became fiery hot with audiences trying to find more and more about the “videshi mem”. Sources say that Anderson’s entry in the show made even Salman Khan go weak in the knees.

Then recently, there was a scuffle between Dolly, Shweta and Samir, which resulted in Dolly and Samir evacuating the house.

It's all about TRPs
Despite all the accusations and allegations the fact remains that ‘Bigg Boss’ has slammed all the other shows with its TRPs.

It seems that despite ‘Bigg Boss’ breaking its own rules, the great TRP, of the show, remains intact and why not, after all the producers and the directors of the show are indeed using all the universal masalas for it.

But aren’t all these controversies, headlines and other media coverage adding spices to the recipe? Well it remains for the audiences to decide.
