The income tax department is probing into which actors were involved and how much they were being paid by the influential family.

Bollywood stars will not perform in wedding
Rumor has it that stars, who had earlier agreed to perform on the wedding, have even taken half the amount from the families as an advance payment.

Reportedly, the gutka barons had locked the deal with Bollywood celebrities for a whooping 25 crore for a week long celebration in Delhi. While King Khan has been offered four crores, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were getting two and one crore respectively.

Also, Kat was expected to perform at the sangeet and mehndi ceremony, while Salman was supposed to perform today at the wedding and SRK was to attend the reception on Nov. 19.

Now that the stars have cancelled their plan to attend the ceremony, the question is whether they will return money back to the organizers or not.

Saifeena says no to dancing in public
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor is probably the only couple who has stayed away from the controversy saying they will not perform at the wedding bash, even if they are offered 4 crores.

A source familiar with the matter said, "The couple was offered to perform at the wedding between two gutkha families and were offered almost Rs 4 crore but they turned it down.

“They had taken a decision over a year ago that no matter what the price offered, they would not dance at wedding functions of strangers. That is strictly reserved for family and friends."

Sources suggest that the real reason behind the couple's refusal could be their parent's disapproval of the matter. Both Saif and Kareena's parents think it is belittling for them to perform at weddings for money.

On this, Kareena said, "As a rule, Saif and I have stopped performing at weddings. We are not performing at this Delhi wedding. We took this decision together a long time back and have decided to stand by it even if it means losing huge money."

Saif added, "To each their own. It's a question of comfort and individual choice and we both are personally not comfortable performing at weddings. The same goes for the decisions I make on my films and ads.

"I do them according to my comfort level. Having said that, I would like to add that we fully respect everyone else's decision for doing whatever they want."
