While talking at a press event recently, when a reporter asked him about his rumored obsession with the much-married actress, Mishra replied that what they share is a “great friendship of an actor and a director.”

He added that media is making unnecessary fuss about them as there’s nothing going on between them and their friendship is purely platonic.

Reports that sparked controversy
However, sources close to the filmmaker paint a very different picture of his relation with Chitrangada, who’s married to Indian golfer Jyoti Randhawa.

“When it comes to Chitrangada, Sudhir’s fascination with her is quite obvious. During the shoots he caters to all her whims and fancies. She is very fond of momos and Sudhir makes sure that she gets them.”

The source added, Sudhir is so smitten that whenever actress is in town both goes out for a dinner.

Apparently, at times he even “drops everything else to be with her. There are pictures of only two women at Sudhir’s office-one of his late wife Renu Saluja and the other is of Chitrandaga,” added the source.

These were the reports that started all the commotion in the first place.

When Sudhir was asked to explain a little about his special momos outing with the actress, Sudhir replied that she belongs to his group of people and he can go out with any of them whenever he deems right.

Sudhir even sportingly explained why he has Chitrangada’s photo in his office next to his wife’s.

“That’s because I was doing Aur Devdas. At my house you will find Shiney’s and Soha’s pictures too,” revealed the filmmaker.
