No 'Action Replayy' on Nov 5?
Akshay and Aishwarya starrer, 'Action Replayy' might not release on Nov. 5 due to the law suit filed by Dubai-based Eros Worldwide against film's director, Vipul Shah, alleging that Shah has failed to pay the company dues amounting to 6.56 crore.
The suit was filed in the Bombay High Court, seeking payment.
After hearing the allegations against Shah, Vacation judge JH Bhatia has scheduled a hearing on Nov. 4 and has also advised the duo to settle down the matter amicably.
Shah under huge financial crisis
Interestingly, allegations revealed that Vipul Shah is going through serious financial debt and is being pressured by various creditors to pay back as his last movie, 'London Dreams' was a box-office dud.
The suit was filled on Tuesday, which stated, “The defendant (Shah) be restrained from exhibiting, causing to exhibit, releasing, communicating to the public in any manner, exploiting, delivering the prints to any third party or in any other manner exploiting or suffering the exploitation of the film Action Replayy which is scheduled to be released in first week of November.”
Apparently, Shah had taken a loan of 6.37 crore on Oct. 24 and Oct. 26, 2009, and on failing to return the loan amount, the company filled the suit.
The company even fears that if the request is not granted, then director Vipul Shah “might create a third party rights and gain profit.”
Aish-Akki busy promoting 'Action Replayy'
Though Shah is facing such allegations, the film's co-stars, Akshay and Aishwarya are busy promoting 'Action Replayy'.
Due to certain issues, Aish could not attend the promotional episode of 'Action Replayy' on KBC BUT she was spotted at Akki's reality show 'MasterChef India', adding a retro fun in the episode, especially when the duo entered the show riding a scooter.
Confirming Aish's presence, Kunal Kapoor, one of the judges of the show, said, “It was fun to see Aishwarya ride pillion on Akshay's scooter. It's otherwise a serious show. I wouldn't mind Aishwarya riding pillion on my scooter, but with me as the rider she would have been a little scared, with Akshay she was completely at ease.”
Besides Aish and Akshay, 'Action Replayy' also features Neha Dhupia, Om Puri, Kirron Kher, Randhir Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Ranvijay Singh, Sudeepa Singh and Rajpal Yadav.
