Fresh notices issued to Prabhu Deva, Nayantara

A family court in Chennai on Tuesday issued fresh notices to actor Prabhu Deva and his beloved actress Nayantara, as both failed to make an appearance in court in relation to a petition filed by Deva’s wife, Ramlath.

Apparently, not only both actors failed to appear before the court but also did not send any counsel on their behalf to attend the hearing.

After examining the whole situation, Meenakshisundaram, head judge for the family courts, decided to issue fresh notices against both actors and adjourned the case till Nov. 23.

He even granted Ramlath’s counsel permission to send private notices to Deva and Nayantara.

Deva’s wife in her plea is seeking restoration of her conjugal rights and an interim injunction to restrain her husband from marrying actress Nayantara, until the matter is resolved.

How it all started
This whole drama started when Prabhu Deva in an interview couple of months ago openly acknowledged his relations with actress Nayantara and also declared that he will be marrying her soon.

After this statement from her estrange husband, Ramlath moved to family court, requesting for the restitution of her marital rights and stopping her husband from marrying someone else.

Prabhu got married to Ramlath on Sept. 8, 1995 and together, they have three children.

According to Deva’s wife, he not just started living away from his family after the death of one of their sons due to cancer in 2008 but also stopped supporting them financially.

She has also claimed in her plea that she and her two children are completely dependent on Prabhu financially.

Prabhu, Nayantara did not receive notice
Though, fresh notices have been issued, Ramlath counsel informed court that he was unable to serve the notice to both the actors as neither could be reached personally.

But he had pasted the notice outside actor’s residence. Unfortunately, he could not do the same for Nayantara as she does not have a permanent house in Chennai.
