Colors apologizes for hurting people's sentiments

Considering the undue protests against the Pakistani contestants by Shiv Sena and TRP loss due to black out of channel in Mumbai and Thane, Colors channel apologized in a letter written to Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray stating apologies for hurting the sentiments of Indians.

Consequently, the political party has permitted the cable operators to air the channel.

Interestingly, Colors has apologized but not agreed to their demand of asking Pakistani participants, Veena Malik and Begum Nawaazish Ali, to quit from the reality show.

Shiv Sena agrees to air Colors
Indeed, the channel's apologies have turned out to be beneficial for them but the party is not completely satisfied with Pakistani contestants still in the show.

Anil Parab, Sena leader and former president of the CODA, said, “The channel has sent a letter to Balasaheb rendering an apology. They have apologized for hurting public sentiment. We will, however, continue our protest against the presence of Pakistani artistes on the show.”

Reportedly, the party has even approached the sponsors of this show to re-think about their sponsorship decision.

Colors did clarification, not apology
Interestingly, the Colors clarified their stance of not hurting the sentiments of the audience.

Soniya Huriya, Colors spokesperson, said, “We clarified our stance to them (Shiv Sena) last night and said we had no intention of hurting anyone.”
