As per sources familiar with the matter, ‘Santa Banta’ is going to be a comical film, in which Ajay will be seen portraying character named Santa while Bobby will be Banta.

However, neither of the actors have confirmed whether they have agreed to do the film or not. But as per the sources, only Ajay’s decision is awaited as chances of Bobby consenting for the project are greater as Karnik is his close friend.

Last time, Ajay and Bobby had shared screen space for the action packed film ‘Tango Charlie'. Unfortunately, the film failed miserably at the box-office.

No official confirmations about the actors have been made, however, sources close to Karnik are claiming, “Samir Karnik is all set to begin work on Santa Banta with Ajay and Bobby. The film is supposed to be a laugh riot and is expected to hit the floors sometime in February next year.”

When contacted Karnik refused to confirm or deny any of reports linked with his upcoming film ‘Santa Banta'.

Sources revealed that the director does not want to generate unnecessary media attention towards his upcoming project considering he’s currently busy with film ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana'.

“Though busy with his Dharmendra-Sunny Deol-Bobby Deol starrer Yamla Pagla Deewana,” said a source on condition of anonymity.

Apparently, it would be too early to say anything about the leading ladies of the film that is yet to be officially announced.
