The cue from the BO earnings aside, it’s believed that ‘Aisha’ fueled more interest from movie-goers after it landed in 475 screens in India and 135 screens abroad.

It appears that the box-office collections for ‘Aisha’ have been awesome and encouraging in big cities as well as in small cities, where it was relatively generous and encouraging.

This movie which is inspired from the Jane Austen novel 'Emma' has been distributed by PVR pictures and produced by Rhea Kapoor, under the banner of her dad Anil Kapoor’s Production Company.

Incidentally, when the President of PVR pictures Kamal Gianchandani was asked about the BO response, he stated, “By such overwhelming weekend collections, the film has set a new benchmark for films with female protagonists. The box office collections are very encouraging.”

'Aisha' had a weak response on Monday
From what we hear, ‘Aisha’ which lured audiences on the opening weekend managed relatively paltry response yesterday. This modern-day Jane Austen film had dropped off 20 percent on Monday.

However, Gianchandani brushed off the drop in the weekday response. As he stated, "While compared to Friday, Monday has only seen a drop of 20 percent, which is quite minimal. Usually a film sees a drop of anywhere more than 40 percent on a Monday.”

Maxim magazine along with their presenting partner LG gave away the list of 100 hot girls at an event yesterday. The editor chief of the magazine, Vivek Pareek stated that the Maxim Hot 100 List is the definitive ranking of hotness.
