Aamir down with fever, cancels last minute ‘Peepli Live’ promotions

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, known for aggressively promoting his flicks before release, recently, had to cancel all the last minute promotional gigs for his upcoming film ‘Peepli Live’, as the actor was down with high fever.

"Am feeling very helpless lying in bed a few days before the release. All the last lap interviews and promotions are cancelled :-( doomed (sic)," confirmed Aamir by posting a message on his Facebook page on Monday.

Apparently, the actor has been advised by his doctor to take complete bed rest until he gets better.

The satirical film ‘Peepli Live’ on the farmers’ suicide and the media hype created around it, is all set to be released across nation on Aug. 13.

Aamir returned sick from Melbourne
Apparently, the 44-year-old actor realized that something is wrong with him as he felt completely drained out of energy after returning from his trip to Melbourne, Australia on Saturday.

Later, he found out that he’s running a 103 degree temperature and was feeling so tired that he attending pre-scheduled promotional meetings for his latest film ‘Peepli Live’ was not possible.

"Guys I am most disappointed, I am down with very heavy fever, 103. Returned from Melbourne this morning with fever and was in bed all day to try and recover before tonight. But I have been hit hard this time. Won't be able to make it for the chat especially as I have to travel to Chembur for it," read one of actor’s earlier post on the social networking site.

Due to high fever, actor could not even attend the screening of ‘Peepli Live’ organized by his wife Kiran Rao for film’s unit members.

Aamir concern about flood-hit Leh
Aamir switched from his illness to his concerns about the flood-hit Druk Pema School and people in Leh where he had shot for few scenes of his blockbuster movie '3 Idiots'.

The school got washed away after two cloudbursts led to flood in the region on Friday.

"Very shocked and distressed to hear about the school we shot in Leh for 3i. Trying to get in touch with the Principal. I suppose the communications are down too," posted Aamir.
