My character in Aisha stands out- Amrita

These days Amrita Puri, who made her debut in recently released Anil Kapoor Productions 'Aisha', is on high heels as she grabbed the role of a third lead in the flick.

She plays the character of Harriet Smith from Jane Austen's novel 'Emma'. Prior to 'Aisha', Amrita has worked as a model in many ads.

Amrita in 'Aisha'
It was heard that earlier Amrita got selected in the auditions and was offered for the role in Dibankar Banerjee's 'Love Sex Aur Dhoka'. But due to her busy schedule, she could not make up with LSD.

Amrita Puri is not a new to acting as she has been into acting career from the time she was a kid. She has worked with Qazad Padamsee on a English play 'Retellings View From The Stage'.

When Amrita was asked about her character in 'Aisha', she asserted, “Shefali is very funny without trying to be funny and sets out to speak whatever is in her mind. My character in the film stands out because she belongs to the high society and also is a drama queen. I could relate to Shefali because she has simplicity and innocence, which are there in me too."
