Vidya will play a special strong character in Priyan’s flick
Despite having lost a role in Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Rascals’, Vidya seems to have impressed Priyadarshan, as he is all set to begin his latest project with her playing the main heroine.

Vidya, who essayed a powerful role in Priyan’s 2007 Bollywood psychological thriller ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya’, will now be portraying a special strong character in Priyan’s forthcoming film.

Meanwhile, insiders have revealed that Vidya bagged this role after she recently shot an advertisement for Priyadarshan. Moreover, the director always wanted to work with her after ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya’.

It is believed that it was while shooting that Priyadarshan brought up the topic about his next project and that’s how he told Vidya that he wanted to cast her in the lead.

Priyadarshan, who is eagerly waiting to release his forthcoming film with Ajay Devgan and Bipasha Basu named ‘Aakrosh’, will soon begin shooting for the untitled Hindi film.

The movie is reportedly to be made on a huge budget and the producer for this adventure flick is Ratan Jain.

Vidya lost Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Rascals’ for walking out of ‘Dhamaal 2’
After creating magic in films like ‘Paa’ and ‘Ishqiya’, Vidya was offered a plum role in ‘Dhamaal 2’. But she walked out of the project after the producers of the flick refused to pay her the whopping amount of 1.5 crore, the amount demanded by her.

The pretty actress doesn’t have a hands full of movies, as she recently lost a role in Sanjay Dutt’s first film production ‘Rascals’, since Sanjay also stars in ‘Dhamaal 2’.

Now, the latest news to hit the movie circuit is that Vidya was never a choice for ‘Rascals’, as the director David Dhawan wanted only fresh young looking faces for the flick.

Sanjay Dutt and David Dhawan are said to have considered Anushka Sharma, Lara Dutta, and Kangna Ranaut for their upcoming comedy film ‘Rascals’.

David, who was never keen on roping Vidya for ‘Rascals’, stated, "Vidya Balan was not suitable for this role even though she is a fine actress. This is the only reason we did not sign her for Rascals. I am sure Vidya does not mind as she is a good friend, we will work on another film together."
