Romantic comedy ‘Aisha’ in theatres tomorrow

Romantic comedy ‘Aisha’ is directed by Rajshree Ojha and is produced by Anil Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor.


The music in the film is given by Amit Trivedi and lyrics are by Javed Akhtar. PVR Pictures and Dream World Pictures are the distributors.

Film’s screenplay is by Devika Bhagat and dialogues are contributed by Ritu Bhatia and Manu Rishi.

The film is set in the background of Upper Class Society of Delhi and is said to be a modern day adaptation of famous 19th century author Jane Austen’s novel ‘Emma'.

The film’s shooting is done mainly in Delhi, Mumbai and Hrishikesh. In total, it boosts of eight songs that includes two remixes.

Plot of ‘Aisha’
Aisha’s story revolves around a twenty-five year old Delhi girl Aisha Kapoor, who has an uncanny habit of meddling into other people’s businesses.

Having successfully arranged her Massi’s love-match to a widower Colonel, Aisha starts thinking herself as a successful matchmaker.

Her next project involves plan to find a match for her plain Jane friend Shefali, for whom she thinks local rich guy Randhir is best bet. However, Randhir along with Aisha’s best friend Pinky has other plans.

Here enters Aisha’s childhood friend Arjun, who believes that his friend should stop concentrating on other people’s love life.

In all the craziness created by matches and mismatches by Aisha, enters quintessential bad boy Dhruv, who makes her thinks about her non-existent love life.

Throughout the story Aisha remains busy in fixing other people’s love lives only to realize that she’s not a good matchmaker.

Before the end of the story, she also realised that if she would not stop pursuing her silly projects she might end up losing her perfect match.
