Saif, Dinesh to part ways after 'Agent Vinod'

Nothing seems to be going well between the ‘good friends’ Saif and his partner in the production house ‘Illuminati Films,’ Dinesh Vijan. Both have decided to part ways after the completion of ‘Agent Vinod’.

Though the reason behind separation is not clear, Dinesh has decided to produce a romantic comedy independently.

The duo, Saif and Dinesh, met each other when Saif was shooting for ‘Being Cyrus’ and they became good friends. Both of them formed ‘Illuminati Films’ in 2007. Later, the pair made ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and currently, they are indulged in the making of ‘Agent Vinod’.

Romantic comedy featuring Imran and Deepika
After parting with Saif, Dinesh will be producing a romantic comedy written by ‘Love Aaj Kal’ director Imitiaz Ali, who will not be able to direct the movie as he is busy with ‘Rockstar.’

The flick will be directed by the ‘Being Cyrus’ director Homi Adajania.

A little birdie revealed, “Dinesh had worked with Homi in Being Cyrus and the two were always keen on doing another film together. But Dinesh got busy with Love Aaj Kal and later Agent Vinod.”

Interestingly, Imitiaz Ali has convinced the chocolate boy Imran to join the team.

“Imran has loved the script and is just waiting for a bound script. If Imran agrees, he will be paired with Deepika Padukone, who has already signed the film,” added the birdie.

’Agent Vinod’s’ production under trouble
Directed by Sriram Raghawan, ‘Agent Vinod’, the most ambitious project of Chote Nawab, features his love mate Kareena along with him.

The crew of the movie had to wait for two more days in Morrocco as the production team had forgotten to book the return tickets.

A unit member revealed, “During the Morrocco schedule 60 per cent of the film stock that was taken from India got fogged (spoilt) because it was put through the X-ray machine at the Dubai airport. The production team wasn’t aware that the raw stock gets exposed if it’s passed through the machine.”

Later, Dinesh made emergency calls and arranged for the additional stock from London. But the same story repeated again.

“Half of the raw stock that was called from the London got fogged in the same way since it was also put through the X-ray machine at the airport. The production team forgot to warn the person who was getting it from London not to repeat the same mistake,” a source said.

Hope the series of trouble ends soon.
