‘Initially I was nervous' -Shazahn Padamsee

Bollywood actress Shazahn Padamsee, who has been shortlisted for the lead role in critically acclaimed filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming film ‘Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji’, revealed that initially, she was intimidated at the prospect of staring opposite Ajay Devgan.

"Initially I was nervous. But I knew I was going to be taken care of,” said the starlet, who has worked with Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Raajneeti'.

Reportedly, the actress was hesitant to sign a film opposite Ajay not only because of the fact that he’s her senior in the industry but also because of the age gap between them.

However, Madhur managed to make Shazahn see the relevance of that age gap as his film’s story revolves around a 40-year old man’s attraction with the 20-year-old Catholic girl working in his company.

“Madhur Bhandarkar is one of the best directors ever. Look at the kind of magic he works with his heroines. When I saw Chandni Bar I was blown. It's the best Hindi film I've seen,” added Shazahn.

Shazahn fitted Madhur’s vision perfectly
Reportedly, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar had shortlisted several finalists for the leading female role in his film but none made it, as he was looking for a very young girl and found all the finalists not fitting that vision.

After spotting Shazahn at the premier of film ‘Raajneeti’, Madhur got convinced that she’s the perfect leading lady for ‘Dil Toh…’ and so, he approached her.

Interestingly, Shazahn bagged the role not just by beating all the shortlisted candidates for the role but also producer Kumar Mangat’s daughter Ameeta, who too had auditioned.

Shazahn not afraid to shake-a-leg in ‘Dil Toh…’
Apparently, Shazahn's role in Madhur’s ‘Dil Toh…’ requires a lot of dancing. However, the starlet is not afraid as she’s confident that she will manage.

"After Rocket Singh I went down South to do two films -- one in Tamil and the other in Telugu. Both required a lot of Bollywood-style dancing. So I can manage the movements well now," said Shazahn.
