Imran-Kareena starrer 'Short Term Shaadi' on hold

According to the latest tabloids buzz, filmmaker Karan Johar has put on hold the shooting schedule of his new venture ‘Short Term Shaadi’, due to creative differences between the film's lead actor Imran Khan and débutante director Shakun Batra regarding title of the film.

Apparently, Imran and Batra have been best buddies since ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ days. Imran was so impressed with Batra’s work that he recommended him to Karan.

However, these days Imran and Batra cannot see eye-to-eye as Imran, who suggested the title ‘Short Term Shaadi’, is strongly in favor of title. On the other hand his buddy Batra does not like the title at all and wants it replaced.

As per a source familiar with the matter, this whole matter has become the bone of contention between the two friends as none wants to back down from their stand.

Reportedly, Karan declared ‘Short Term Shaadi’ as film’s working title till the matter is resolved.

The film is said to be inspired from Hollywood flick ‘What Happens in Vegas’ and will be featuring Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor in main leads.

Karan’s take on all the commotion over the title
Karan Johar, when contacted to comment on the issue, confirmed the whole story.

“Yes, Shakun didn’t like the title 'Short Term Shaadi'. It was only a working title in the first place. Imran and my writer Ayesha were kicked about 'Short Term Shaadi'. But Shakun would hear none of it,” revealed the filmmaker.

He further added, “We at Dharma go completely by the director’s vision. So we’re hunting for a new title now.”

‘Short Term Shaadi’ will be Batra’s directorial debut.

Imran quiet on all things related to film
When Imran was contacted to comment on his discord with director and his buddy Batra over film’s title, he refused to comment.

Imran could reveal only this: “I am doing another film with Dharma production. But I really can't speak anything about it. All I can say is that it is not being directed by Karan Johar but by a first time director 'Shakun Batra'. He has assisted on 'Jaane Tu.... and then on 'Rock On'."
