Along with Bips, the Chairman and Managing Director of the Mahua group, PK Tewari and Brazilian football legends Romario and Branco were also present at the event.

Talking about the channel Tewari told the sources, “'Mahuaa Bangla' will just not cater to entertainment but will strive to revive the heritage and value and at the same time bring newer thoughts and ideas to its viewers.”

A graceful event
The event was hosted by Bengali beauty Konkona Sen Sharma along with Tollywood superstar Jishu Sengupta.

The event started with a traditional Durga Vandhana by Tanushree Shankar and her dance troupe, which was followed by a laser show. Also music composer Bappi Lahiri and singers Alka Yagnik and Debojit Saha made the audience swing to their tunes.

Bipasha happy with her work
While addressing the sources, Bipasha talked about her upcoming projects. She seemed happy after working with Rituparno Ghosh in a Bengali movie 'Sob Charitro Kalponik'.

“I had an amazing experience shooting for Rituparno. He is a fantastic director and he is one of the finest to explore the workings of the human mind and behaviour”, Bipasha grinned.

Bipasha added, “It is brilliant the way he can dissect the layers to give dimensions to a character. I am certainly looking forward to working with him.”

Bipasha, whose recent release 'Lamha,' that is set in Kashmir and explores the tension in the Valley due to politics and religion, has been bowled over by Rahul Dholakia, the director of the movie.
