Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will come back on small screen as host of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' season four.
While addressing the media, Bachchan said, “I'm here to confirm that I am indeed going to be doing KBC. It's a great honour, great pleasure."
NP Singh, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Sony Entertainment Television said, “We are pleased to bring KBC back to our Indian viewers. Once we decided to launch the show, the only name that came to our mind was Amitabh Bachchan. We look forward a show which will provide wholesome entertainment with fun, knowledge and humour to the entire family.”
Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan hosted two seasons of KBC and the third season was taken over by Shahrukh Khan as Bachchan got down with stomach ailments.
Bachchan to host the show
Kaun Banega Crorepati was launched in 2000 and became one of the most watched shows on Indian television, attracting 15 million viewers.
“Kaun Banega Crorepati is a good television habit. It brings the whole family together and knowledge is shared in the most interesting and entertaining way,” he added.
KBC popular among the viewers
KBC was the first show that brought Amitabh Bachchan on Indian television. The show was hugely popular among the viewers and attracted audiences from all age groups.
It not only helped Amitabh Bachchan to re launch his Bollywood career but also helped Star Plus become India's number one entertainment network.
