Bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat lip-locked nearly 17 times with her co-star Himanshu Malik...

While confirming the news, Karan told the sources, “Yes, Dharma has green-lit the remake of 'Agneepath'. But it's not a scene to scene remake of the original that was produced by my father Yash Johar. It's an adaptation and restructured version of that film, which has been penned by Karan Malhotra along with two more writers.”
Before this, there was a buzz in the B-town that Abhishek will play Vijay Dinanath Chauhan and Jaya Bachchan will act as Vijay’s mother in the remake.
Reason to cast Hrithik
Hrithik’s international looks are said to be the reason which made Karan to choose him for the role of an international gangster. The modern version is said to be a chic and happening flick that will portray Hrithik as an international gangster, unlike the original one that showed Big B as a gang lord in India.
Moreover, the remake will not include Krishnan Iyer M.A., the magnificent character enacted by Mithun Chakraborty.
The original 'Agneepath' was produced by Karan's father Yash Johar and was directed by Mukul S. Anand.
Hrithik is currently busy in Spain for shooting Zoya Akhtar's 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'. The sources revealed that Hrithik will be giving his nod for the movie only after his shoot is over.
It is speculated that Kareena Kapoor will be casted for the lead role. But Karan said, “We were waiting for the script to get completed. The next step would be to approach the actors. However, we haven't approached anyone yet.”
'Scarface'-the inspiration behind 'Agneepath'
Hrithik's character in the latest version has been influenced by Al Pacino in 1983 'Scarface', which was the inspiration behind the original 'Agneepath'.
1983 'Scarface' was based on Howard Hawks' original 1932 film of the same name starring Al Pacino as Cuban drug lord named Tony Montana.

Agneepath! whithout Mithun, are you joking? If Mithun's role is not their than it can't be Agneepath. It would be only a publicity stunt.
I am sorry but there is no Agneepath without the character that was portrayed by Mithun Chakraborty. He is one of the main reasons that Agneepath is hailed a classic. I thought that someone of Karan Johar's sensibilities would've realised that. More so I think Mithun would be great in the role essayed by Danny Denzongpa, with additional action from the Villain.
