'National Geographic Channel HD', 'Wild', 'Nat Geo Adventure', 'Nat Geo Music', 'FX', 'Fox Crime' and 'BabyTV' are the seven additional channels added to existing 'National Geographic Channel' and 'FOX History & Entertainment'.
These channels will roll out on Direct to home (DTH) and cable systems.
While addressing the sources, FIC India Managing Director Keertan Adyanthaya said, “The (new) channels will give us an opportunity to reach out to a wider audience base in the country and provide content ranging across crime, comedy, adventure, music, fiction and factual shows,”
About the new channels
Indian market will now have 9 channels which provides content and entertainment to the viewers provided under the services of FIC.
'National Geographic Channel HD' offers entertainment with animals, nature, history, science, culture and adventure programming that is broadcasted on television all over the globe.
'Nat Geo Wild' allows the people to experience the most powerful and dangerous wild life encounters that was shot by the world's award winners photographers.
'Nat Geo Adventure' dedicates to the real spirit of adventure and unfolds the thrilling experiences of young travelers and their journeys take them to the edge.
'Nat Geo Music' targets the audience who are passionate about music and world culture. 'Nat Geo Music' even follows the seasoned artists and gives viewers an authentic sound which is rich in diversity.
'FX' is FOX TV that includes a mixture of drama and comedy for its viewers.
'FOX Crime' is an entertainment channel that telecasts the content entirely related to the crime and investigation.
'BabyTV' features those programmes that are helpful for the parents in handling their infants and new born babies.
FIC in nutshell
FIC is a network that works to provide content to television viewers. FIC entertains the viewers by giving factual, sports, and movie channels for television through distribution platforms in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa.
It was started in 1993 and till date it has reached about 110 million homes in Asia.
