For many years, Rekha and Bachchans have been seen sharing a sense of awkwardness and discomfort as there was a time when rumors spread about a love affair between Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan.

After working together in super hit movie 'Silsila', the three of them were not seen together for any occasion.

On the book launch, Rekha approached Jaya while she was chatting with singer Asha Bhosle and wished her. As Rekha hugged Jaya, Jaya’s eyes widened in surprise. Rekha talked to Jaya Bachchan and broke the long lasting silence.

This was not for the first time that Rekha took the initiative and showed warmth towards the Bachchans. During an award ceremony, she even hugged Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan but Amitabh preferred ignoring her.

Dream Girl Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan, who were seated next to each other, were seen sharing bonds with each other.

Kajol, with her cute baby bump, looked pretty and was observed talking to Padmini Kolhapure.

Gautam admired all the beautiful actresses he has worked with including Padmini.“She was a young girl who turned herself into a confident actress. Waiting for the day when you will grace the screen once more Pandi,” he said.

Lata, too, was invited to the podium and she charmed everyone when she revealed to be a big fan of Hema Malini. She said, “People admire my songs but half the job is done by the actresses.”
