'Aisha', 'IHLS' become popular among urban audiences

According to the latest buzz, the forthcoming movies ‘Aisha’ and ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ are likely to face tough competition with each other as both are eagerly being awaited by urban audiences.

Though it has been three days since ‘Aisha’s’ promo release, more than one lakh viewers viewed the promo within 24 hours. On the other hand, ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ music has made the fans go gaga.

As the tastes of the Indian audiences are changing with time, it is hard to guess the audiences' reaction to the movies ‘Aisha’ and ‘I Hate Luv Storys’.

Both the movies cast the new entrant Sonam Kapoor in cute and bubbly roles: with Abhay Deol in ‘Aisha’ and with Imran Khan in ‘I Hate Luv Storys’.

’Aisha’ an inspiration from ‘Emma’
Directed by Rajshree Ojha, ‘Aisha’ is inspired by Jane Austen’s novel ‘Emma’.

The flick is the story about a bubbly girl Aisha (Sonam), who likes interfering in others' matters, and a guy Arjun (Abhay Deol), who thinks that Aisha should mind her own business and tries to get her out of that habit.

“Indian cinema had not tried it out until now probably because the genre is all about urban women with minds of their own.

"But as more and more women turn financially independent and begin to make their own decisions, films that indulge them or sometimes reflect their lives (on a lighter note) are going to be made,” says Rajshree Ojha, the director of Aisha.

’I Hate Luv Storys’ not a chick flicks, says director
Debutant director of ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ Punit Malhotra denied that IHLS is a chick flick.

“Love is a universal emotion but the idea of the emotion, but what romance means to Sonam’s character is something that women will be able to connect with,” he said.

Influenced by typical Mills and Boon’s romance tales, IHLS is about a guy, Jay, who hates love stories but wants to be a part of the Bollywood world and meets a girl Simran who is crazy about love stories. The encounter between them results in their own love story.
