Star Plus unveils its new logo


Star Plus, part of STAR TV network, unveiled it's new avatar in the form of a new logo, a ruby star, with new catchline 'Rishta Wahi, Soch Nayi'.


The new logo was disclosed at the Star Parivaar Awards in the presence of complete Star Parivaar with Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan and Uday Shankar, CEO of Star.

This indeed will be a good news for Star viewers as Star is going to bring in some exciting programming as per the changing interests of it's viewers.

The company has spent nearly 20 crore rupees to refresh its brand. Venture 3, a UK based company, has done the makeover and Ogilvy and Mather is channel's creative agency.

Uday Shankar, Star CEO, said, "I am pleased to announce the brand refresh for our flagship channel Star Plus. This is the first time in the history of television brands in India that an attempt to refresh has been made with such depth of detail, permeating to the core of its business.”

“The new logo is a ruby star which is feminine, strong, full of energy and life. The white swoosh, lit from within and represents inner strength and quest for fulfilment,” he further added.

With a new avatar, Star Plus brings three new shows for it's viewers, Rajan Shahi's 'Chaand Chhupa Baadal Mein', a cookery reality show 'Master Chef' by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and Ekta Kapoor's daiy soap 'Tere Liye'.

Star Parivaar awards
The Star Parivaar Awards saw the presence of famous actors like Bollywood's Shah Rukh, Munna Bhai's Circuit Arshad Warsi and the glamorous Shilpa Shetty Kundra.

'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain' was declared as the Favourite Family with a total of five awards and the hottest jodi award went to Pratigya and Krishna. Kiran Bedi also received an award for Dumdar Sadasya.

Nearly, six awards were bagged by 'Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya' and 'Sapna Babul Ka... Bidaai'. 'Sasural Genda Phool' got three awards while 'Behenein' received two awards.
