‘Kites’ fails to fly high on box office

‘Kites’ has flopped very badly on the box office and has had a very disappointing second week, clearly indicating that the movie failed to impress the audience.

Even Hrithik Roshan’s commendable acting has not been able to save the movie that has a weak storyline.

Only Rs 4.50 crore gross earnings were recorded in the movie’s second weekend. That is a drop of 85 percent.

Though the film has grossed an estimated Rs 45.50 crore, which sounds good, it is not going to help cover the expenses of the mega-budgeted project starring Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori, and Kangna Ranaut.

But Hrithik has got name and fame in the west, owing to the movie that once again showcases the romantic side of the talented actor.

’Kites’ is close to Hrithik’s heart
“Kites is two and a half years of my heart and soul, whatever you create in your life is only you know, it's based on your instincts, that have come to be because of how you have interpreted your own life and all your experiences,” says Hrithik Roshan.

“Everything that I put into my work is a reflection of the person that I am inside and how my experiences have forged my perspective on the world and on life. So that's what comes out in my work and that's why I am that involved. That's how it goes for me,” he adds.

Preity praises Hrithik
Though she may have completely vanished from B-Town, but Preity Zinta has surely not forgotten her Bollywood friends.

Recently, she startled Hrithik when she commended him for his performance in Kites, helping raise his spirits.

She tweeted on Hrithik’s Twitter page, “Hey Duggu! You looked like a god in Kites! Sigh! Saw it today! You did a great job in the movie.”

To this Hrithik replied, “Hey Pree! Courageous of you complimenting me for Kites! But don't say it too loud, somebody might hear you.”

She then posted, “My darling, films fail, actors don't! Have always been proud of you since Mission Kashmir as you are one of the brightest stars on this horizon.”
