Reportedly, Vaishali, who made her Bollywood debut with “Kal Kissne Dekha” opposite newcomer Jackie Bhagnani, initially had agreed to work in “Shunya” because at that time Ahdayayan Suman was being considered for the male lead.

However, negotiations did not go well and producers decided to rope in Shiney instead. After learning about this turn of events Vaishali made her discomfiture known to the producers of “Shunya” about working with Shiney.

As per a source close to the actress, "She comes from a very conservative background and doesn't want to be associated with Shiney. She reasoned that she wouldn't be comfortable working with him. She thought it would be a bad move for her to be cast opposite him."

Vaishali opts out of “Shunya” due to “personal reasons”
Recently, Vaishali in an interview confirmed that she has opted out of the film “Shunya” but her decision has nothing to do with anybody in particular.

"I have opted out of Shunya, and it's because of some personal reasons I don't wish to reveal. It's true that the film was first offered to Ahdayayan, but later on they decided to go ahead with Shiney,” said the newbie actress.

However, actress refused to divulge “personal reasons” that forced her to opt out of “Shunya.”

By refusing to work alongside Shiney, Vaishali has become the second actress in Bollywood who has reportedly refused to work in a film due to his presence.

Before her, actress Soha Ali Khan had reportedly refused to shoot her scenes with the tainted actor for the film “Ek Accident.” The makers had to shoot their scenes separately—Soha’s scenes were shot in Mumbai while Shiney’s were filmed in Delhi.
