Salim Khan tied knot with Salma in 1964 and has four children, Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail...

"For six months there was no sign of recovering from my knee pain. That time I thought either I will turn to singing or direct a film," said Hrithik.
Hrithik added that he decided to give up acting because, “If I couldn't dance, if I couldn't jump, then I didn't want to be an actor. I was going through all those thoughts at that time.”
Despite suffering continuous pain due to the torn ligament in his right knee, Hrithik kept working on Jodhaa-Akbar and other projects that needed to be finished.
After warping up all the work, Hrithik flew to Singapore for treatment.
’Kites’ script changed Hrithik’s decision
After getting his knee treated, Hrithik tried to stay away from films that required him to perform strenuous stunts because he was not sure if he will be able to do them.
However, the 36-year-old actor said that when he heard ‘Kites’ script for the first time he could imagine himself in the film but initially he was hesitant due to all the stunts involved.
"When I heard Kites from Anurag Basu, I could imagine the scenes and could see my face in the character. His vision was so strong that it passed on to me,” said Hrithik.
Hrithik went on to add, “I was seeing myself doing all those things and at that time I said to myself that if I can see it in my head then it will manifest, somehow. I jumped up after that and said - 'This is what I was looking for and I will do this film.”
