Recently, CAB came under Income Tax department scanner after allegations were made that CBA has taken money from dubious sources for hosting KKR’s 7 IPL matches at the Eden Gardens.
"We got the money, but we don't know where it came from. When you get a monthly salary from your employers do you question where they got the money from?” said Dalmiya.
Earlier, even CBA’s joint secretary Biswaroop Dey had said that CBA “conducted tournament on BCCI’s recommendation” and they have no idea where the money came from.
No evidence found by tax officials in raid?
Dalmiya revealed in an interview that tax officials have not found any “incriminating evidences” in the raid.
"No paper is missing. There was one duplicate and one original copy of the MoU. They did not get the original yesterday but it will be supplied now. The CAB joint secretary was here cooperating in their survey," said Dalmiya.
Dalmiya went on to add that they have nothing to hide and are cooperating with the authorities in their search for whatever they are looking for.
Officials have evidence against CBA and KKR?
Recently, IT and IRS officials had raided the offices of CAB and KKR and after the search had indicated that they have found evidences against both.
“We have some incriminating documents. We will further investigate their nature and all transactions of IPL, KKR and CAB,” had revealed an IT official after the raids.
