The reception, a “private” event, was attended by over 300 guests that included couple’s family members, close friends, TV celebrities and fashion personalities.

Rahul wore garod kurta and dhoti while Dimpy looked stunning in a red sari by the ace fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani.

“It's like a fairy tale. Very hard to believe but feels so very wonderful. When I look at Rahul, what I see is someone who is very compatible to me, someone who understands me really well and is very caring," said excited Dimpy.

All through the evening Rahul and Dimpy looked happy and chatted with guests animatedly.

Dimpy’s parents happy with marriage
Dimpy’s parents who attended the wedding reception said that they were aware of all that was written about Rahul in the past but all that is now past.

Dimpy’s father Saibal Ganguly said that whatever trouble Rahul got into in the past could be the result of depression after losing his father.

"Rahul is a very intelligent boy. He's become way more mature and responsible, I think I am proud to have a son-in-law like him," said Saibal. "On a scale of one to hundred I think I am hundred percent happy seeing that my daughter is so happy. That's what all parents want don't they?"

Rahul’s sister did not attend the reception
According to the tabloids buzz, Rahul Mahajan’s sister Poonam did not attend the reception because she did not approve of her brother’s decision to marry on a reality show.

However, when Poonam was asked to comment on all the media reports, she avoided answering about the rumors and stated, “I will be in Nashik. I have a very important programme to attend. Rahul is my brother. I will always be there for him. My work related meetings are very important to me because I have a professional life as well. I am in touch with him as well as Dimpy.”
