Deepika, who came to the venue to support Vijay Mallya’s team Royal Challengers, bonded pretty well with Siddharth Mallya. Throughout the match both chatted animatedly to each other and also left together afterward.

Reportedly, when Royal Challengers defeated Kings XI Punjab, Siddharth jumped with joy and said to Deepika, “You are my lucky mascot. I will get you a big gift tonight."

Siddharth was also heard asking Deepika to show up at all Royal Challengers matches.

“Siddharth’s reaction was very impulsive. It clearly came from his heart. His joy knew no bounds,” said an eyewitness.

Deepika and Siddharth old buddies
Reportedly, Deepika and Siddharth friendship is no new topic since both knew each other since her modeling days.

Both met when actress was shooting for Kingfisher Swimsuit calendar and became “best buddies” but drifted apart after Deepika joined Bollywood.

According to a source, “Siddharth had a huge crush on Deepika and she liked him too; but at that time Deepika wanted to focus on her film career. After the success of Om Shanti Om, Deepika got busy with films and Ranbir.

Slowly she drifted away from Siddharth. But now with Ranbir out of the picture, Deepika is enjoying Siddharth’s affection and attention.”

Deepika to meet Shammi Kapoor over coffee
Deepika was surprised when she found out that veteran actor and her ex Ranbir Kapoor’s grand Uncle Shammi Kapoor had asked her to join him for a coffee via Twitter.

“I was very excited when Shammiji messaged me on Twitter. I didn't know he had messaged me because I was busy performing for the IPL opening ceremony.

After my performance, I was flooded with messages in my BlackBerry Messenger and Twitter about Shammiji tweeting me. Till then, I didn't even know Shammiji was on the website as his name comes as Shamsher Raj,” said Deepika.

Deepika said she is excited over the prospect of meeting the veteran actor in person.

Shammi also tweeted about Deepika’s performance at the IPL function, "You were the best that IPL offered today - Love."
