John Abraham who was shooting at the Tower Bridge in London for his upcoming film 1-800-Love, performed most of the stunts, without the help of a body-double. His incredulous action stunts had even won him huge praises from the unit members.
John impresses his crew
David Bryan, art director of the multi-Oscar winning movie ‘Hurt Locker’ has been roped in for Abbas Tyrewala’s romantic comedy 1-800-Love. Bryan has been signed in as the production designer for this film after his last film won six Oscars.
Though he didn’t bag the famous statue, Bryan was hugely praised for his modern showmanship and exclusive techniques in ‘Hurt Locker’, and for bringing out the real life-like battle pockmarked streets of Iraq in the movie.
Sources conveyed that Abbas wanted realistic touch in the film, as he wanted real London portrayed in the film, which was the reason for Bryan to be roped in.
Sources also informed that David was quite overwhelmed with the stunts executed in the action sequences in the film.
Thus, John managed to thrill his unit members with all his action-packed performance.
Responding to question about John’s stunt, Bryan stated, “We wanted to portray the real London that is rarely seen, it's an amazing city with very diverse locations. In particular we were looking for a real iconic Studio Apartment for our lead actor John Abraham.
Later in Autumn, the climax to the film grew into an epic 4 nights filming on Tower Bridge with John doing his own stunts, a real star.”
Bryan had great experience with crew
However, when shooting the film on the bridge, they couldn’t help but disrupt traffic for a solid three nights. The boat traffic at the bridge was also blocked.
When asked about his working experience in his first Bollywood film, Bryan conveyed, “Working with a Bollywood crew was a great experience, much more than on a similar British film.”
The music of 1-800-Love is being composed by A.R.Rahman. The movie is slated to be released sometime this year.
