Fan accuses Salman of using her for publicity gimmick

Actor Salman Khan, known for being a people's person more than an actor, has landed into a serious trouble after a female handicap fan filed a petition against him for using her pictures as a part of publicity stunt for his movie "Veer".

The Bombay High Court issued a notice to Vijay Gilani, "Veer's" producer and director, the tabloid and Salman Khan on Saturday, March 13, based on the petition filed by claimant, Phoolbanoo Bakshi Ilahi.

According to Ilahi, she visited Salman in Filmcity along with her family in April 2009, where the actor posed for some pictures with her and her mother.

She said she felt devastated when she saw the pictures with a story titled "Dildaar Salman Khan" in an evening tabloid saying she was given one lakh rupees out of compassion.

Ilahi recieves critical opposition in family
Ilahi further claims all this was false. Also, she had to bear gossips regarding her character which led to breaking off her sister's engagement.

An ardent fan of Salman, she thinks she paid the price of being a simple commmoner.

Petitioner claims for compensation of 25 lakh rupees
According to Ilahi, when she tried to lodge an FIR against Khan and the tabloid at VP Road Police Station for criminal defamation, the Police refused to record the FIR, and instead recorded a non-cognisable complaint.

She has now demands a sum of Rs. 25 lakh as compensation for agony brought to her and her family.
