After enticing Bollywood biggies with his song ‘Smack that’ which he sang at Shahrukh’s party. Akon created the same magic during the recording of his first Hindi song. Akon, who was overwhelmed by the tempo of nice Punjabi Bhangra, sang it with its catchy beats.
After recording the song, it is believed that the International singer was completely smitten by the Bollywood style of singing.
Akon’s Punjabi challenge
Akon had requested his friend Aadesh Shrivastava for another song; this time around the singer chose to take up the challenge of singing a Punjabi number, which he artfully sang as smoothly as the Hindi one.
Before singing the song, Akon was told the meaning of the lyrics, which he found quite impressive as the theme was universal.
Responding to the question about the Punjabi song, Aadesh stated, “On Wednesday night when we were rehearsing for our Punjabi number, at least 200 youngsters gate crashed into our recording area. We had to call the cops.”
Akon and Aadesh’s noble project
In a recent interview, Aadesh also conveyed that he had known Akon for a long time, and that they are planning to work on many things in the future.
He spoke that they are working on a great song ‘Let’s Come Together’ which brings out a beautiful message as it calls for world peace.
Aadesh, who has composed for quite a few Bollywood films, will also be teaming up with London Symphony Orchestra very soon.
He conveyed that Akon has already recorded the track and it has come out fabulous. He also said that they are holding discussions to release the song.
The song reflects upon the war of terrorism and how it had been wiping out human values.
Sources revealed that the proceeds of this song will go to charity.
Talking about the project, Aadesh informed that the proceeds will go to the Mumbai Police Relief Fund.
He also stated, “We feel strongly for Mumbai as the city has been the target for terror attacks and has also seen violence in the form of riots. We had to do this for the city and now since Akon is here, we will firm up our plans.”
