Balika Vadhu has always stayed at the highest peak of popularity, because people were hungry for good family drama just like the earlier hit daily soap, Ekta Kapoor's ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’.
'Balika Vadhu' has achieved success for its characters
For better or worse the characters have achieved success for their significant roles.
The character hated by everyone in the soap was Anandi’s grandma-in-law Dadisa (Surekha Sikri). She always tormented the young child with all the archaic traditional customs and rituals.
It is these disheartening situations that has help attain more sympathy for Anandi, from the viewers.
'Balika Vadhu' always embraced the audiences for its main story-line, where it shows Anandi doing well in her studies while Jagya does poorly. Thus, he runs way from home because his ego is hurt and because of parental pressure.
And now to make matters worse Anandi goes out of the house looking for him. Promos show that she will never come back.
Viewers are now in depression wondering whether Anandi will be leaving the show. What remains to be seen is whether the channel is just trying a marketing push for its TRP rating.
'Balika Vadhu' captured TV viewers
From the time it was aired, the daily soap has captured the hearts of TV viewers, keeping everyone glued to their TV sets for its emotionally charged episodes.
Interestingly this TV series helped Avika Gor, who plays the lead role Anandi, enjoy instant stardom.
The episodes have enthralled audiences because people have fallen hopelessly in love with the character Anandi who looks innocent and childlike, a gentleness that has pulled strongest affections for her.
Currently the country’s top rated soap opera 'Balika Vadhu' has constantly held viewer’s attention by always focusing on issues that included sexual assault, process of education for a girl child and widow remarriage.
