Preity Zinta heir to Amrohi property?
by Jasmine - March 8, 2010 - 11 comments While legendary filmmaker Kamal Amrohi’s sons—Shandar and Tajdar Amrohi are getting ready to fight a legal battle with their sister Rukhsar and her son Waseem, over a Mumbai property share, tabloid reports suggests that Amrohi brother’s are thinking about making actress Preity Zinta legal heir to the property. Though, currently Zinta’s name does not feature anywhere in the documents of the Mahal Pictures Pvt Ltd—property in midst of legal battle, her share in the property (if any) could be finalized. "My brother (Shandar) considers Preity as his daughter. She is a blessing in disguise for us. She is a very strong girl and is fighting for the right cause. God bless her," said Tajdar Amrohi in an interview given over phone to IANS from Mumbai. The statement further fuels the speculation of actress getting some share in the property. Amrohi’s legal battle woes Reportedly, Rukhsar sold her shares to someone outside the family without taking a no-objection certificate from her brothers. However, Khar police did not register the case immediately but stated that they need to investigate the matter as it could be a civil case and not criminal. Preity Zinta has tweeted about the delay in the registration of the case and showed her support for Amrohi brothers. Reportedly, she has accompanied Amrohi’s to the police station. Though, interestingly their application does not feature her name anywhere at all. Waseem and Rukhsar’s surprised over Zinta’s addition Waseem made it clear that all the allegations leveled against them by his uncle’s are baseless. He also clarified that his uncle Shandar was one who wanted to sell his shares in 2008 to a private company but they wanted to keep them in the family. So he stepped in and legally bought the shares.
