One of the finest actresses in Bollywood, Sonali Kulkarni launched her book titled "So Kul,” at the Crossword Book Store on Tuesday. The book is a compilation of 102 articles written by the actress for a Marathi newspaper ‘Lokasatta’ weekly supplement Viva.

"I just want to write and keep on writing. I don't know if someday I would write a novel or not," revealed the excited Sonali just before the launch of her book.

All the articles in the book are written in Marathi but Sonali said that it will be soon released in Hindi and English as well.

"I have already got...shouldn't say offers but invitation to translate the book into Hindi and English and I will surely take it up very soon," said the pretty actress, who has delivered amazing performances in films "Dil Chahta Hain" and "Taxi No.9211."

Chief Guest Nana Patekar impressed with Sonali’s book
Actor Nana Patekar, who is well-known for his frankness in the industry attended the book launch event as a chief guest and was the first one to get the copy of the book.

The frank actor confessed to the tabloids that he agreed to be a chief guest only because of the fact that he liked the book written by the actress.

“I wouldn’t have come if I didn’t love the writing,” admitted Nana.

The editor-in-chief of The Indian Express Group, Shekhar Gupta, also praised the book and called it a fine compilation articles turned into a book.

While the editor of Loksatta, Kumar Ketkar, reminisced how Sonali transformed from being a jittery columnist to a competent columnist.

Guests at the event
Other attendees at the book launch included actor Atul Kulkarni, Soni Razdan, Ajinkya Deo, Divya Kagdale, Nina Kulkarni, Dipannita Sharma, Milind Gunaji and Aditi Govitrikar.

Entrepreneur Kanchan Adhikari, writer Swanand Kirkire, and screenwriter Shiv Subramanium were also spotted at the event.

Sonali’s mentor and theatre stalwart Satyadev Dubey who was also present said proudly, “I will always support her in whatever she does.”
