The storyline of the film will deal with the issue of marital rape. After Razdan announced that he will be addressing the controversial issue in a film, much has been written about the film.

But the filmmaker is determined to promote the film in a manner that people will take notice and understand the message he wants to spread via his film.

"MITTAL VS MITTAL will be screened specially for politicians, social groups and women's right activists to raise awareness about this issue that needs to be brought out of the closet. Very soon we will go on a nationwide screening campaign to raise awareness about the issue of marital rape," said the filmmaker.

Razdan to spread awareness with his film
The issue of marital rape in India has sparked many debates in the past. But so far no Bollywood mainstream film has been made on the subject, and with “Mittal vs. Mittal”, Razdan expects to bring the issue out in the open.

Razdan revealed during an interview that the inspiration to make film on the subject came to him when he read an article in a magazine. He was in shock after reading the given figures on victims and decided to research the topic in depth.

After collecting enough information he started working on the film.

The film has been under production for some time now and will be releasing soon. The film features actors like Rohit Roy, Suchitra Krishnamurthy, and Rituparna Sen Gupta in the lead.

Rituparna haunted by her character for days
Recently, Rituparna Sengupta, the leading lady of the film “Mittal vs. Mittal”, revealed that it was very tough getting under the skin of her character in the film.

The actress revealed that she got so involved with her character that at times she felt it was happening to her in real.

“It was terrifying. I kept seeing the sequence for days in my sleep and woke up startled,” admitted Rituparna.
