Starring in the film that beautifully brings out the warm and wonderful moments of romance between two people are Naga Chaitanya and Samantha.
The Story-line
A love story with a simple storyline, the movie is just about a boy meeting a girl and being caught up in love. The story opens with Karthik (Naga Chaitanya), a young man who has completed his graduation in engineering, yearning to become a film director.
And while at the crossroads of his vocational aspirations, he surprisingly gets swept up in love with Jessie (Samantha), who lives in the apartment above him. Despite the fact that she is a Syrian Christian Malayali and two years older to him, she falls in love with Karthik.
Madly in love, Karthik moves ahead to fulfill his career aspirations. Sadly, at about the same time Jessie discovers that her father has fixed her marriage and she can’t afford to go against her father’s wishes. In the meanwhile, Karthik becomes an established film director.
Cast and Crew
Even though there are certain imperfections in the screenplay, ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ impresses with the lead actors’ touching delivery of emotions. On the whole, the ensemble is incredible.
Director Gautham Menon, who is in charge of the screenplay, has passed acid test with a fair degree of success in drawing in the audience’s attention.
Rahman’s wave of musical moments in the film is energetically and palatably soothing. The music is already a rage for its lyrical and romantically-delirious appeal. The highlight of the background music is the way it instantly strikes a chord when combined with the visually appealing locales.
M Paramahamsa’s ability to capture the scenic beauty of Allepey is tasteful, while Rajeevan’s art direction has worked wonders in the film.
Samantha, a debutant in Telugu, has added allure to her role, while Naga Chaitanya has pulled off his role with complete ease.
Bottom-line
The film is a feel-good drama with a promising effort by the director. If you’re a sucker for love stories, then ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ will definitely make you feel the buzz of romance in the air.
