Katrina’s spat with Prakash Jha
Katrina, known for her histrionics, doesn’t seem to be really comfortable in her lackluster role.
The actress who raised the style bar in the industry is always said to be particular about how she’s portrayed onscreen.
Obviously when asked to downplay her beauty to take on the unglamorous role of a politician, Katrina didn’t find it a simple task.
No wonder the latest rumor doing the rounds is the supposed discord between Katrina and Prakash Jha.
It is believed that from the days of initial discussions, the two started to quarrel over the shades of the drape, as Jha had explained that the women politician in India don’t wear bright colors.
He also insisted that a subtle off white color would go well with her character in the film.
A close source informed, “Katrina plays a politician and Jha had selected the costumes to suit her character. However, Katrina expressed her doubts about wearing the dull saris and asked Jha to let her wear simple but dark colored saris. She particularly wasn’t convinced about the off-white saris she was asked to wear.”
Katrina remained unconvinced initially
Prakash Jha’s initial explanations for the motive behind her wearing dull off-white saris were not accepted by the actress in the beginning.
As sources stated, “He told her that though she is an actress, she plays a politician and it’s essential that she wear such colors in Raajneeti.”
They also conveyed that the discussions on the costume went on for a quite a long time and it later developed into an argument.
It was only after repeated discussions that Katrina decided to abide by his wishes as she slowly started to see his point of view.
However, when the press asked the director about the confusion over the costume, Prakash Jha managed to laugh off the whole incident stating, “It was a healthy discussion."
