The newspaper reported in its article--"Pregnant Pause - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan" that due to the disease Ash is unable to conceive. The article also claimed that Big B is anxious for a grandson.

Amitabh reacted angrily on his blog, "Due to the illicit nature of this slander, I request a retraction and full apology.”

“The full apology comprises the names of the individual journalist and chief editor, the journalist's and editor's unqualified retraction and refutation of the contents of the article, the apology should be addressed to both Aishwarya Rai Bachchan first and specifically, and also to the Bachchan family in general."

Abhishek lashes out at media
First, Big B demanded apology from the tabloids for reporting false news and on Friday Abhishek lashed out at the newspaper for publishing reports suggesting that Ash is suffering from “stomach tuberculosis.”

Abhishek rubbished reports published in the newspaper on Twitter: "The article is disgusting and appalling! As a husband and a man I am shocked that one can talk so irresponsibly about a woman."

He also mentioned that he will not be tolerating defamatory reports especially against the ladies of his family.

He tweeted further: “I have immense respect for the media. They are the opinion makers of a nation, our conscience. THEY MUST BE RESPONSIBLE!!!"

Aishwarya’s response to speculations
Aishwarya wrote a letter to the newspaper on Thursday in which she denied all the speculations over her health and asked the paper to apologize for reporting such nonsense about her.

Ash’s letter to the paper stated, "I am completely shocked, appalled and extremely upset with the contents of the article. It is fabricated and false."
