Salim Khan tied knot with Salma in 1964 and has four children, Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail...

Farhan’s character in ‘Karthik calling Karthik’
Considering the fact that there are two Karthiks in the title, one might wonder whether the actor portrays a double role or has a spilt personality in the film.
The indomitable Farhan however doesn’t want to ruin the surprise of his character. All he had to say about his role was that, “All I can tell you is I play a lonely introverted character down on his luck, unsure and inarticulate. Everyone takes advantage of the guy I play.”
In the movie Farhan dons a character who suffers an inferiority complex and has confidence issues.
But he is not an overly peculiar person. As the actor quickly clarified that he doesn't play a geek, and conveyed that, “Karthik isn't a geek. Something happened in his childhood to make him the way he is. This guy is just an introvert.”
Farhan is happy to make films
Farhan is more than happy to make films, and has produced the most delightful films with captivating story-lines ever made in the industry.
All the films that he has been seen in till date are all produced by him.
When asked him when and how he decides to act or produce, he said, "I've no issues working for any producer as long as the project and its backers are rock-solid. An actor's worst nightmare is if his project stalls midway.”
His home production, ‘Rock On’ had won him the National award, and this shows his film-making capabilities. But this time around for ‘Karthik calling Karthik’, Farhan for the first time has tied up with another company called Magic Bean, for co-producing it.
When director Vijay Lalvani approached him with the offer to act and co-produce the film, Farhan was pleased to work with somebody new and believes that ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’, is an incredible film.
Farhan refused Rohan Sippy’s film
After having done the film for Vijay Lalwani, the actor however had rejected the offer for Rohan Sippy’s film with Abhishek Bachchan.
Responding for why he declined the offer, he added, “I couldn't do it because the dates clashed with Zoya Akhtar's (his sister) film. I love her script about three friends.
The fact that I've done films about male bonding before ('Dil Chahta Hai', 'Rock On') didn't deter me. No one stops to ask how many films about the man-woman relationship are made every year. Then why not more films about male friendship?”
Farhan’s next home production in the pipe-line is titled ‘Crooked’, which the actor only aims to produce, not to be featured in as cast.
"I'm very happy just being the producer. I've written the dialogues. It's already interestingly cast and didn't need me. While promoting 'Karthik...' I'm also doing pre-production of the sequel to 'Don'," he said.
‘Karthik Calling Karhik’ is scheduled to release on Feb 26. The movie also stars Deepika Padukone and Shefali Shah.
