By yesterday evening, over 1,600 Sainiks were taken into custody. Now there is heavy security across the metropolis, with arrests still going on.
In a bid to avert any attacks taking place inside the cinema halls, he police have issued an advisory to theatres screening the movie. Tension still prevailing at certain areas in Mumbai
However, the matter doesn’t seem to be getting resolved. There is tension prevailing in the areas of Lalbaug after the well-known Shiv Sena leader from the region MLA Dagdu Sakpal was arrested.

To add to the already mounting tension, the Shiv Sanik’s spokesperson Sanjay Raut has given out a warning following the arrests of his party members.
Unfazed by growing disapproval against the group, he is believed to have said, “Wait and see what happens on Friday despite huge security.”
Calling for a peaceful solution to the controversy, the chief minister Ashok Chavan has stated that “Providing security to all people is the duty of the government and we shall do it; nobody will be allowed to break the law.” However, he also said that it is time the two warring parties, Shiv Saniks and the actor, resolve their differences.
