Taylor Swift giddy about Grammy victory

Los Angeles, CA., February 1 -- 20-year-old country star Taylor Swift, known as the biggest-selling digital artist ever, managed to pull-off with the top honor, ‘The album of the year’ award at the Grammys, for her best-selling album ‘Fearless.’

Swift won amidst stiff competition
The 52nd Grammys at Staples Center on Sunday night felicitated the singer with her first ever Grammy.

The wins were announced even before the start of the show. Swift too had found out that she had snagged in two categories.

However, the lady had a problem comprehending the significance of those wins.

She expressed with surprise and delight, “I'm so excited. I can't believe it. Whenever I used to write with people in Nashville and I would go into their houses and they had Grammys on their pianos or something like that, I'd always walk over and stare at them and have conversations with them, these little Grammy Awards. I can't believe I get to have two of them now.”

Swift takes four Grammys
Swift was in all nominated for eight nominations.

Coming to collect her award on stage she breathlessly stated, “Ahh, this is album of the year.”

And still beaming from the win she continued, “This is for my dad. Thank you for all those times you said I could do whatever I wanted in life. And to my mom, you're my best friend.”

Later, Swift who bagged four Grammy awards in all, took time and thanked her fans for their support throughout the year.

She conveyed, “What I'd like to say to you guys is that I appreciate it so much, everything that you do. You go out and you buy tickets to my shows and buy the albums, and I am just so happy tonight.”
