"Where the Wild Things Are"-- a fantasy dream

<strong>Mumbai, January 23 --</strong> Director Spike Jonze has beautifully translated Maurice Sendak’s much-loved 1963 children’s classic picture book into an intriguing fantasy film ‘Where the Wild Things Are’.


The material was sparse on the story since Sendak’s story book has barely eight sentences.

However, director Jonze faced the challenge from the front and made it to be an intriguing film. Jonze has shown importance of imagination, love, creativity for a child with his film.

The cast
‘Where the Wild Things Are’ is a fantasy drama film fit for the viewing of entire family especially kids.

Catherine Keener, Max Records, Mark Ruffalo, Lauren Ambrose, James Gandolfini, Catherine O'Hara, Forrest Whitaker, and Chris Cooper makes up the cast of the film.

Storyline
The movie is a story about a nine-year old naughty boy who sailed away to an island inhabited by strange untamed creatures. The creatures crown the boy as their King.

Sometime later Max realizes how unknowingly he has taken up the role of parent to them.

In the process he also learned that how hard it could be for a parent to manage an out-of-control child at home.
