Mumbai, December 1 -- Be it her character in Prakash Jha’s upcoming film titled ‘Rajneeti’, which is reportedly similar to Sonia Gandhi's, or her looks in the film, Katrina is the talk of town.
Bollywood’s queen, Katrina Kaif, has reportedly harassed Jha for her de-glamorized look in the film as she turned up looking different on every shoot.
A source says, “Katrina did not seem to understand the importance of continuity. Every other day, she would turn up on the sets looking completely different. Often, Jha would be surprised to see Katrina looking like a different person altogether.”
“He had to summon her make-up man to get her look redone; to make it match the look in the last scene on the previous day,” the source adds.
And all Katrina would say is, “Main to waisi hi lag rahi hoon, different nahin.”
‘What rubbish’, says Jha
But reports have it that both Katrina Kaif and Prakash Jha have denied any such continuity issues and this is what Jha says.
“What rubbish! Katrina’s character undergoes a metamorphosis in the film but I never had a continuity problem with her and didn’t lose any time either. She was perfect.”
On the contrary, Prakash Jha is quite impressed with her acting in the film, which will see Katrina in a serious and challenging role for the first time in her acting career.
A bit on the flick, Rajneeti
Rajneeti boasts of a strong cast, which includes Tinsel Town’s current heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Nana Patekar, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai, and Naseeruddin Shah among others.
This socio-political film is not based on any real life story, but the grapevine says otherwise. According to sources, the film portrays the life of Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. Even Katrina’s simple look and cotton sarees in the film resemble Sonia’s look.
All set to release in May next year, the film is currently in its final stages of completion, and the promotion of the film is soon to begin.
Katrina has already established herself on the top of the box-office. Now let’s see what ‘Rajneeti’ has in store for her.
