Kurbaan team sidelines Vivek in promos

Mumbai, November 13: The buzz in the film industry is that Vivek Oberoi is being ignored by the makers of ‘Kurbaan’ in the promos of the film and the focus of the film’s promos is the leading pair of Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali.

The promotion campaign of this Bollywood movie directed by Rensil D’Silva is focusing on the lead pair of the film, Saif Ali and Kareena Kapoor. And the reason for this lack of coverage given to Oberoi in the promotional campaign seems to be quite weird.

Speaking about the whole matter, Rensil D’Silva, director of Kurbaan, said laughingly that the only reason for Oberoi’s scenes not being featured in the promotional campaign is because it would result in revealing the suspense of the film’s plot.

The director also stated that Vivek Oberoi, who plays a crucial role in the film, has absolutely no problems for not being featured in Kurbaan’s promos.

Vivek had to work quite hard to acquire the typical accent of a New Yorker and he got training from few New Yorkers on the sets of the film.

Refuting the claims about Vivek’s short role in the film, Rensil asserted that Vivek’s character is central to the theme of the film. He reaffirmed that Vivek is nearly in 80 percent of the film and was all praise for the hard work put in by Vivek for his role in the film.

“Vivek worked very hard on the role. He was in my room in Philadelphia every night to discuss his diction, dialogues and looks. I seem his career at the cusp of something really exciting,” said Rensil.
