Mumbai, August 18: Meet Ulka Gupta who is barely 13 and raring to go and all set to play the young Rani Lakshmi Bai in Zee TV’s new heroic saga titled ‘Ek Veer Stree ki Kahani.. Jhansi ki Rani'.

Oozing with confidence, the young protagonist has specially learnt horse riding and sword fighting for her role and it is surprising that she has performed all the stunts in this serial herself. The young Rani "Since childhood I am big fan of Jhansi Ki Rani and I am very thankful to Zee TV that they gave me such a nice opportunity to play this role," she gushes. Update on the serial "We wanted to showcase the spirit of Rani Lakshmi Bai to celebrate 150 years of the war of independence as well to commemorate her death. "It was her 150th death anniversary last year. So we thought of enlivening consciousness about her," says Nitin Vaidya who is business head of the channel. The serial has been shot in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and one can see the lavish amount spent on recreating an era that marks the golden period in the history of India. The show also stars veteran actor Aroona Irani and Zee TV has high hopes of boosting its falling TRP from this show that is going to be telecasted on the channel soon. So, better catch young Ulka as Jhansi ki Rani and see for yourself how brilliantly Ulka has performed. Here’s wishing loads of success to the young girl. Guys like u is d same condition 4 me too! Cuz right 4rm her body structure till d music given to her everythings fits only her n its a true fact! Bt guys reality is she cant play as 18 yr old Queen as she is portraying only manu till age 14 n Not as a big queen! I know its totally unacceptable 4 me as am too apprehensive about this! Bt guys hw our age olds up same is her character! Its a bitter truth that v hav 2 accept! Hey ulka am 4rm USA N c ur serial regularly! My mom loves u! V even watch ur repeat telecast!
