I want to explore making horror movies: Vishal Bhardwaj

Talking to a news agency during the International Film Festival of India, the 47-year-old director said, “I love violence and also I want to explore making horror movies. As a kid I played a lot with guns so I am fascinated with violence, I just enjoy that.”

His love for folk songs and rustic backdrop comes from his background as he hails from a small city near Meerut. “While making movies I go back to my past and draw experiences from that," the director added.

Shahid rejects Vishal Bhardwaj's film offer

A source told Mumbai Mirror, “After Ajay Devgn said no to MKBKM, Vishal thought Shahid would be a good choice opposite Anushka since their film Badmaash Company was received well by the audiences and critics.

“However, Shahid has refused to be a part of the project since he is busy with Kunal Kohli's film Muqtassar and then Siddharth Anand's remake of Knight and Day.”
