'Peepli Live' music: a glimpse of folk music

The latest offering from Aamir Khan’s production house ‘Peepli Live’s’ music might not be generating hype like some commercial Bollywood movie’s songs.

But one can safely say that ‘Peepli Live’s’ songs are refreshing, melodious, unpredictable and utterly mind-blowing with a hint of folk music in some of them.

‘Thanks Maa’ inches closer to gritty realism

‘Thanks Maa’ chonicles the unhappy life of a twelve-year old who is homeless and living in the endless shantytowns that are an integral part of Mumbai. The film promises to be good one.

The other kids on the street call the homeless kid 'Muncipalty Ghatkopar', as he was abandoned on the streets when he was a baby.
