Indian officials have launched an investigation into Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan over reports he knows he and his wife are having a baby boy, in a country where pre-natal sex tests are illegal.
Well, as per tabloid reports, the veteran Bollywood legend has been offered a role in Baz Luhrmann's upcoming flick 'The Great Gatsby' and reportedly, senior Bachchan has even given a green signal to the proposal.
When fans are eagerly awaiting to catch their idol in the forthcoming Hollywood venture, Big B’s recent statement that his role in ‘The Great Gatsby’ is a “mere one scene appearance” might have left them disheartened.
It’s also learned that Bachchan has even denied fee for his guest appearance in Baz’s next.
Reportedly, the ‘Aarakshan’ star Amitabh, who plays the role of a principled college principal in the flick, while promoting the film in Patna on Wednesday, stated that every national should be treated equally, but at the same time, underprivileged should be helped.
The megastar further stated that reservation is a constitutional reality in India and we need to accept it.
Big B told TOI, "Every citizen should get equal attention and opportunity. Those hailing from humble background should be provided due prop."
As per megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who plays a key role in the film, the U.P. administration is of the opinion that as ‘Aarakshan’ deals with reservations, which is a very sensitive social issue, its promotion may have an ill-effect on the law and order of the city.
Talking about being barred from promoting the film in Lucknow, a disheartened Big B tweeted, “Feel disappointed that we are not allowed to promote film in UP Lucknow...admin feels will excite and cause law and order problem."
Reportedly, the 61 year old megastar, who had outshined young actors by his electrifying performance in ‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap’, missed a step while climbing up onto the sets on X Factor, lost his balance and slipped.
Big B almost banged his head after slipping, but luckily escaped a serious accident that could have taken place on the sets of the reality show.
Sharing the incident with his fans and well-wishers, senior Bachchan blogged, “Was on X Factor to promote #aarakshan ... lovely to meet up with SanjayLeela Bhansali .. and the wonder of talent in contestants ..
Articulating her grief over the mishap, Ash who at the time of the inhuman act, was in Delhi to receive the French honor of the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier Dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres), stated that the incident has saddened her and her family.
When asked how he was feeling about doing the remake of Big B’s hit film, Hrithik expressed, "In my mind, there are no comparisons, because Agneepath for me, is just another film."
Well, after Madhur in a recent interview stated that Ash kept him in the dark about her pregnancy and as such, the makers of ‘Heroine’ had to incur huge losses, Big B rubbished the reports and said that his daughter-in-law was not responsible for any loss.
The veteran legend further argued that no contract can stop an actor from marrying and having kids.
Reportedly, during a visit to Jaipur for a promotional event of ‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap’, the megastar paid obeisance at the holy Ajmer Sharif dargah and unknotted a ‘mannat’ thread that he had tied more than 40-years-ago.
The ever-so-young actor informed, "I had been thinking of visiting the dargah for a long time but due to work compulsions could never do so. I had to untie a 'dhaga' that I had tied there almost 40 years ago as much has changed since then for me.”
