Lyricist Gireesh Puthenchery dies of brain hemorrhage

Renowned Malayalam lyricist and screenwriter Gireesh Puthenchery, died of brain hemorrhage at a private hospital in Kozhikode on Wednesday. He was 49.

Gireesh was admitted in hospital on Feb. 6 after he suffered a stroke. Doctors operated on him twice but his condition deteriorated and resulted in death.
